My name is Alyssa Connaughton! I’m currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Geography, Environment, and Society and the Saint Anthony Falls Laboratory at the University of Minnesota, advised by Dr. Emily Fairfax.
My research uses a combination of remote sensing, GIS, and field work to quantify the environmental impacts of beaver dams and beaver dam analogs on vegetation across varying spatial scales, biomes, and latitudes.
